About Our Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation Philanthropist Cruise

Make a difference for clean water right here in the Catawba Valley and enjoy a beautiful dinner cruise on the Catawba River (Lake Hickory)! Join the executive staff of the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation, local government leaders and the finest river-loving philanthropists in the area for a night to remember aboard our 60′ Bluewater Yacht. The evening will include delicious hors d’oeuvres from Duke’s Restaurant & Wine Bar (compliments of Market on Main), champagne, wine, and local spirits (compliments of several of the best vintners and distillers bottling in the Catawba River basin). The program will include an onboard cocktail reception, live music, opening remarks by Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation executives and local government leaders, mingling with like-minded philanthropists and an opportunity to give to help preserve water quality right here in the Catawba Valley. In addition, we will offer an onboard charitable auction to include a private kayak learning adventure with the Catawba Riverkeeper Brandon Jones, a private charter aboard our yacht for up to 50 of your favourite guests, gift baskets of local wines and spirits, and other choice items. The ticket price for non-members also includes a one-year membership to the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation so you can be the first to know what’s going on with the health of the river and to make a difference in your own community. Boarding and cocktail reception begins 30 minutes before departure time. Seating is limited so book your tickets early.

Seating

Passengers may choose their own seating and move freely around the yacht to enjoy comfortable heated/air-conditioned seating on the main deck, or shaded seating (summer months) on the rooftop party-deck, open-sky seating on the sunset deck or water-washed seating on the barefoot deck. The yacht is equipped with two bathrooms for passenger convenience.

Boarding

Please note that the construction and nature of boarding the yacht require passengers be able to negotiate narrow stairways (24″ wide), low doorways, step ups, step downs and the normal rocking motion of the boat due to wakes and shifts in weight. We are pleased to provide personal assistance to anyone willing to board, but all passengers do so at their own risk.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed one day.

Dress Code

Dress is dinner casual – dress for a warm afternoon followed by cool evening breezes on the lake after sunset.
